Day 14 — The ask

A fortnight ago I said I'd spend two weeks arguing in public and admitting what I've got wrong. Here's where it lands. I don't need a school built, or funding, or a board. I need one principal at one NSW primary school willing to let me run the afternoon for a term. Not the AI part, the afternoon. Four hours a day of the five Cs with a real class. Public speaking to adults who didn't have to come, a market garden that has to actually produce, a microbusiness with a budget that has to be acquitted, fortnightly visits to the same seniors so it becomes a relationship rather than an excursion. None of it needs a tool that doesn't exist, and most of it maps to Creative Arts, PDHPE and HSIE outcomes more honestly than what currently fills those slots. At the end of the term I'll publish what worked and what fell over, under the same open licence as everything else. I'm still one teacher in the eastern suburbs with a kid in primary school and a calculator. The offer's open, email's on the site.
